What is it about the days leading into a holiday? When we are missing loved ones who have passed away, we physically start feeling a heaviness even before that important date or occasion. There are empty place holders in our hearts.
We all face holiday seasons differently and grasp at ways to fill the emptiness. For me, God is the only one who can ease the pain. For every moment of heaviness I experience, there is also a lifting! HE lifts me out of those weeping waves by replacing the sadness with purpose-filled-moments. The ache never leaves... but neither does God! I stand with arms open wide on His promises— especially the promise of HEAVEN!
God sacrificed His only Son so my ten-year-old daughter can live in Heaven—so we can “all” have an eternal home.
In Heaven there is no ache. There are no empty spaces!
I pray even one who reads my words leans on HIM and into HIS TRUTH!
May God bless you in this moment and always!
